"Hats Off to Fashion" was the theme for this year's Mother-Daughter banquet held on November 2, 2004. Great food; fashionable hats ranging from an edible cake-hat to great-grandma's old hat; a fashion show; and tributes to mothers and daughters made for an enjoyable evening. This was truly an all-church event with special contributions by the youth, men and women working together in the kitchen and offering the program. Especially memorable was that our chief chef was Tom Siegel, who (along with his team) prepared fine cuisine for the 120 women and their daughters attending. This is the first time in our church's Mother-Daughter Banquet history that the men took the lead in planning the dinner, buying the groceries, and cooking; a tradition that we Chatfield UMC women would like to see continue!¦nbsp; Plan now to attend next year's Mother-Daughter Banquet as we resume this tradition that we hope will become as solid as the Father-Son Banquet has been for 79 consecutive years. Article submitted by Pam N.
